> bluetooth, ir, serial?

i'm still waiting to get my phone (ordered recently from amazon.com). but i have a newbie question. i plan on using my t68i with an apple powerbook. i picked up a cheap bluetooth usb adapter (figured it was about time). the powerbook already has IR. and i do have a PC available if i wanted to do a serial link. are all the methods of connection essentially equalivent? is there one that does everything and one that does the least? i figure i'll be using bt for easy iSync's.. from what i've read i can do most anything thru bt, so would i even want to bother with ir or serial links?
