the test is not just about image quality, they tested everything, (functions, features, colour-quality, autofocus, contrast, etc). c905 won because of best camera functions/camera features, and because of best macro and flash quality.
-----------------------
Translation:
------------
innov8.....(had problems to get proper focus..they tried several times
Renoir.....(was just OK
c905......(manage to get sharp focus directly and best quality
-----------------------------------------------------
innov8......(manage better then Renoir xenon flash
Renoir......(had bad sharpness and weak colours
c905......(had best details and quality
------------------------------------------------
innov8......(was a bit blue, still clean and good quality
Renoir......(had problems to separate details
c905......(had natural colour rendition

Exactly the point, C905 probably doesn't beat the others hands down in image quality department but it rules in ease of use and general "camera-ish" feel.

well, you actaully a bit wrong.
c905 have best image quality on both macro and flash. (besides, on this landscape (boat-pictures) i actaully think c905 looks nearly better...innov8 is a bit to dark, c905 looks clearer)

Too be honest the C905 video camera doesn't reflect the 8.1Mpixel camera it has. So nup, i dont think it would win

@TomEngland
That's because of SONY's stupid policy. They figure if a phone HAS to have decent video recording then it needs to be a Handycam phone. A decent huge screen? Then it must be a BRAVIA phone, and so on.

I hope after W995 and Idou they would really go back to the drawing board. The whole line needs a rehash.

1st April? if no then I have questions...
rhetorical questions, not to you Plank
1. what happened to EXIF in all pictures?
2. for what they loaded pictures to graphics editor and saved them as 100% jpeg?
3. why glass in LG wasn't cleaned?
4. no video comparision?
5. where are indoor and night comparisions?
6. macro test? it's not nice to change camera distance and angle between shots

For the price of the C905 I'd rather buy a panasonic lumix fs5 and a C702 and have some money left to take someone out for a nice dinner
