The phone just got released in Titan Black on 26th march on T mob uk (only available over a phonecall to customer services), and there is a great review on it (silver one) here:

Iphone beaten?

I'll be ordering my Titan Black on upgrade first thing in the morning.

I made a new thread because it is released now, and the other one is a 'on the way' thread, but feel free to merge them if you dont want this new thread.

Its here. More pictures to come:

Opening the box, forgot to rotate one of the pictures. Sorry if they're too big, I kept them full size so you can see the phone fully:

By the time I noticed it's release date I'd already upgraded to a Renoir. The S class UI looks very nice. The Viewty 2 runs it as well.

Good for me that my upgrade is today .

I just have to wait for 8.30 am.

I looked on my account online for my upgrade offers to try and get a price idea as it is only free on £40 pm, I have:

Nokia 5800 - £77
HTC Touch Diamond - £100
HTC Dream - £100
Samsung Pixon - £175
LG Viewty - £180 (WTF???)
HTC Touch Pro - £230
Nokia N96 - £320 (overpriced like the Viewty)

So I have no idea how much they will want for the LG Arena yet, but Im hoping for no more than £150 based on those prices.

LG Renoir and Samsung Omnia are also available as long as they have stock left, but have been taken off the website, but I definately want the black LG Arena.

Or I think it was the LG secret, not the Viewty, but they are wanting the full sim free price of £180 for it. I'll just treat that as a mistake.

Great, not in stock untill Monday

Even though they annonced it on the 26th, customer service dont know anything about it:

http://www.pocket-lint.com/ne[....]ena-titan-black-t-mobile.phtml

http://news.softpedia.com/new[....]na-in-Titan-Black-107952.shtml

It was just announced, not released.

But according to this one, it was released:

The handset is now available for free on £40 Flext and Combi deals and is available for upgrading customers at £200..

http://www.mobilenewscwp.co.u[....]obile_gets_black_lg_arena.html

But they didnt know anything about it when I called.

They did have it in stock =D. I had to ask them to check their stock levels. It cost me £200 on my 50% discount tariff which is £28.75 pm, which is fine compared to the sim free price of £350. It will arrive on tuesday.

My options were to get this one now, or to wait for the Samsung Omnia HD, or HTC touch diamond 2 or Pro 2.

I emailed HTC to ask for video recording specs on those phones, and they told me they were both 24 FPS QVGA, which is a no go, I wanted at least VGA resolution for youtube, and this LG phone has 720x480 @ 30 fps which is perfect for just youtube use.

The Samsung Omnia HD is the best thing ever, but it is too expensive and I dont need 8 MP or HD video recording, 5 MP and 720x480 is spot on for my use, but I just wish the Arena had a proper flash. The Arena is a little pricey too, but I am going to Ebay my K800 and K850 phones and hopefully try to make most of its price back, then I will just have the LG Arena plus my T700 as my backup phone.

I might as well send off my scratched and dented K750i for recycling, but I want to keep my ancient T300 because it is still in mint condition, and I still like the look of it.

Also, what I paid works out at the right price - it is free on £40 and up tariffs, the difference between that and my tariff is £11.25 pm = £202 over 18 months, which is very good price for this phone, even better that it is on a 50% off tariff .

Now I just have to wait impatiently untill it is delivered on tuesday . I will take some unboxing pictures when it arrives and put them here .

The demo video for the phone is awesome:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=losawDQNmk8&feature=related

It just makes me even more Impatient.

It has everything, except flash, why couldnt they have put a proper flash on it? .

I were looking at class 6 memory card prices -

8 Gb £12.99
16 Gb £28
32 Gb over £70.

I think you get a 2 Gb card in the box, plus the 8 Gb onboard memory, so I dont need one right away, and can wait for the 32 Gb card to drop in price first to around £50.

Im glad I didnt waste any money on my SE phones for M2 cards, despite having two full 512 meg cards. I can just get the universal one that the LG uses which should hopefully also be compatible with my future phones as well.
