Hello

I've recently taken out an upgrade contract with 'unlimited' net access. While I do understand that unlimited is not actually unlimited I was under the impression from various sources that the limit was 2GB.

However, I am now hearing that some people reckon the actual limit is 250MB?!!!

I am still under the cooling off period so I need to get to bottom of this, as a limit of 250MB is totally unacceptable and therefore I would cancel my contract.

I would like to hear from people who ACTUALLY have an O2 unlimited net access and what sort of useage you are getting through each month please.

I vote 250mb , my bolt-on was cancaled before the end of the month because i had used this amount.

Its 500mb. I used to be on O2 and the unlimited is 500mb. Thats what i read and was told by O2. I did go over it once by mistake though using Google Maps

Thanks guys, but already getting mixed results after just two posts.

How can one people have a limit of 250 and another 500??? Unless of course numbe 1 so referring to an old policy?

Like to hear from pay monthly customers who are ACTIVELY using OVER 250/500MB per month please? At least that way we can rule out this limits.

If you go to the o2 terms and conditions page you will see that the PAYG web bolt-on has a 200MB limit and the PAYM web bolt-on does not mention a limit, but has a fair use clause (it also mentions a few exclusions)

Yep, already read the that policy, but as you said it does not mention the limit for PAYM web bolt-on so egar to hear from people actually using this and what amounts of data they are able to use monthly.

Just had reply from O2.

"The O2 Web Bolt On can only be used for web browsing on your phone and a fair use policy applies. You can access unlimited Internet on your phone. However, your monthly data limit is 250MB.

But if your usage exceeds that of other users, which is normally expected to be below 200MB a month, you'll be charged standard rates for additional browsing. We'll send you a warning text message advising you to limit your usage before this happens, and a text message to let you know when you're being charged."

I love the way they state....in the very same sentence "You can access unlimited Internet on your phone. However, your monthly data limit is 250MB."!!! Jokers!!!

250MB sounds totally unacceptable to me. What does 250MB relate to, in terms of how many web pages I can actually view???

I'm sure I would reach 250MB with ease! For example I was hoping to use google maps on a regular basis but no doubt this would have me reach my limits within weeks if not days.

I don't thnk I would be able to cope with that. What with youtube and iPlayer built in to my mobile - I would probably have to sell a kidney after the 1st week

200mb can only be used for looking at websites really, google maps is very data heavy so forget about that, also you can't download or stream anything or your reach the limit very quickly, yes 200mb is a tiny amount and not really fair at all.
