hi

your phone shows two problems, a hardware and a software. i had my p990 with the white screen problem. i just ran seus and re-upgraded it. solved.

but the "shake it" and it fixed issue? maybe the battery is not tight enough.

Take the batt out and SIM out, clean contacts, re-assemble, fully charge, start up, update. and hopefully this will solve it.

Sounds like the lcd ribbon connector inside the phone could be coming loose. Simple fix if you know how to dismantle a P990 and have the right tools.

The moving battery issue also sounds like a possible culprit!

Good luck

Hi! Didnt think i'd find an active thread on the old P990!!

The ram deficiency of the P990 has not been that noticeable to me till i started using a bluetooth headset in conjunction with my newly acquired mbw 150 watch a few months back. Since then i'm plagued with reboots and frozen screens. Would leaving some mem free on the phone mem help? I currently leave abt 8mb free. I still have that bulky golf game as well as some mp3 ringtones i could del but i dont want all my apps on my card.
