I suppose it has something to do with how the camera detects things but if I turn OFF the flash I would rather it didn't use the LED.
There are times I would prefer not to call attention to myself while I take a pic and since its not firing the LED for the actual picture is there a way to prevent it from turning on while I focus? Did I miss something?

I can disable the flash but cant disable autofocus without choosing another picture mode - which make bad pics.
As for "AF Light" I cant seem to find that setting. Doh!

asked the exact same question a while ago, thought it was me asking again =D
check settings for "stabilizer, turn it on or off, cant remember, and it should help
