I have set up a wapsite with images, animated gifs and hopefully sounds. The problem I am having is that AMR files (T68 Sound files) are not downloadable I am simply presented with an error message.
Has anyone ever achieved this? I know it is possible because AMR files are available on Orange.net.

I don't even know what an AMR file is (audio? video?), but the problem may have to do with MIME type settings on the server. Try a search for MIME types.

.amr files are when you record your own stuff on the handset - like a call or voice memo - see this for more wap chat

can anyone tell me the MIME for .amr file types so I can add it to my server, it would make editing .amr on the pc loud enogh for ringtones, then download to wap a lot easyer.

That doesn't work on mine, my server must be shite. I tried a .htaccess file with relevant code and my site wouldn't load. Does it work for you?

Yes, It works from my local one, but its not a static IP, so I'm going to update my remote server tomorrow to host them. make sure you use the .amr then the audio/AMR, I'm using a IIS server, not a 'nix one, so it may never work on yours, 'nix servers are pants.
