> Total loss of sound on X1 [BUG] ?
Bookmark topic
I have had a X1 for a few months now and it worked perfectly. Then after a red wine related accident... I killed it
So I got another one, and this new one has a majorly annoying bug.
Randomly, it appears, that all sound on the device shuts off. All alerts, all incoming/outgoing sounds/volume. All the settings appear to be correct and this problem only gets solved by a soft-reset.
Is this a know issue and can anyone help/advise how to sort this out.

A mate of mine experienced it as well. He had to get a new one in order to get it fixed. Shouldn't be a problem though with the XPERIA service card.

Thanks for reply...
So it is the device and not a software/firmware issue.
I'll sent it back then... I cant recreate the problem, and it happens randomly (it appears)... so hopefully when i sent it back they will know about and not just send it back to me saying it is ok

This has happened to me once. I noticed that the haedphone symble was still pressent on the task bar (i had unplugged my headphones - the phone was just a little confused) plugging and unplugging mu headphones sorted the no sound problem out - problem hasn't re-surfaced...

well this has happened to me a couple of times and the issue seems to be a R3AA one, I never had this problem with R1AA

Hm, so I am not alone with this...! I thought it was related that I have the Photo Contacts pro installed.
So unless all of you have the same installed, it cannot be it after all

I can remember people reporting very similar things with other WM6.1 phones back when I was in the winmo fold a year or so ago - I think it's a WM quirk, but it only seems to affect fairly random people/ROMs at random times. You could try the old WM cure for everything - a hard reset - but be careful with restoring any backups as that may just reinstall the same problem again.
It might be worth having a hunt around some WM forums, like XDA-devs, for answers - someone may have isolated the cause by now.
