Well, my contract expired a few days ago and I'm thinking about another. It's time I picked the phone, because I already know which contract is perfect for me. The problem is that I can't decide on which phone to choose. The choice is between samsung u900 and f480 or se c902 and k850i. As far as the price is concerned, I might get f480 for free, u900 will cost me about 50 euro, k850i and c902 smth about 100 euro (k850i is a bit cheaper). I like the most K850i for its looks and features, but I've read many reviews which tell "dont buy it". Still, I'm not sure whether to take the opinions for granted, cause they are quite old. I would like to know whether this phone really is unreliable on latest drivers. I want to have a great phone as my k750i is, and I need your opinion. What would you choose...

I would recommend K850i for you (good camera with modded camdriver plus powerful xenon flash, very good quality screen, very good sound quality, pretty good battery life) but if you're into multitasking (listening to music, at the same time, taking pictures, browsing, texting, playing games) then I can't assure you that K850i can do the job easily, and as it struggles to do that, sometimes it will restart itself just because of playing music in background then playing games.
You might also consider the C902, it has a slim elegant design (despite the awful screen size, screen quality is still good), great camera for outdoors and also pretty good battery life.

I read your opinion, but does that mean that k850i occurs to restart while texting and listening to music simultaneously?! I hope it does not, because I often do it at the same time:(

Yep, it restarts sometmes but NOT always, mine even restarts without me doing anything even with the latest firmware. I think this happens to most new phones 'coz even some newer SEs and Nokias have this "restarting" problem.

My K850 hardly restarts now, cause i realised that it just dislikes constantly reading the memory card, so the theme im using is installed in the phone mem, the apps i use everyday are in the phone memory, ringtone and msg tone are in the phone mem, and i dont use a wallpaper, if i do i make sure its put in the phone mem. So realy all thats in my mem card is media: eg. Music, photos, videos, games and back up of my apps that are in phone mem. Also i dont use flash themes,find them realy stupid especialy for the fact that when multitasking they dont always load and the ones that vibrate are just straight up annoying. Thanx to all that my K850 is fast, im able to multitask more, it hardly ever reboots, and the battery life is excellent. Still id avoid SE
look at the Nokia 6220c or the Samsungs you mentioned, dont waste money on phones that are crippled. K850 sucks and the C902 is pretty close to being crap as well,and thats just the truth IMO.

Quite a balanced opinion, which I do appreciate. It reminds me that it is somehow similar to my k750i, which has broken down 8 times. Now it works as it should, because I figured it out how it ought to be 'maintained'. I'm considering k850i as the perfect choice, cause it is claimed to have a very good camera, which I frequently use (e.g.. photographing notes and materials... detailed texture and colors are prior). Mp3 is a nice thing while commuting.... strangers often wish to chat with me, which I dislike... music makes you deaf and blind;) Samsung f480 is my alternative cause it is cheap, but I'm not sure about the music player and camera... touchscreen seems to be quite reliable. It will be difficult to make the right choice;/

K850i is a nice phone, but it has it's problems. If you think cam quality is important, I'd recommend you U900. It's the best 5mp cam I've ever seen, though I didn't try ZN5 and I used N82 for just a short time, but it's defenitly better than C902 or K850i. For other thing it's a nice phone, too, but you have to like the touch pad thing. F480 has a bad cam, so don't take that one.

@domipost
U900 the best 5mp camera?? nah i don't think so.
I've owned the u900, n82 and k850i.
Admitedly the u900 is stylish, touchpad works fine, but the UI just didn't ring a bell with me and the camera has good daytime outdoors performance but the noise reduction( when viewing on a computer) really destroys indoor images and i never managed to take a non blurry picture at parties( when things are moving) thanks to it's horribly slow shutter speed.
The n82 imho is the best by far in camera terms and raw features, but the original poster hasn't mentioned it, so onto the k850i which compared to the u900...can't argue about outdoors quality( but not too much worse) but anything indoors and in bad lighting conditions the k850i clearly takes it, so it's a compromise but the camera-like design is really much more enjoyable.
As a phone, i love my k850i. My u900 has bin sold and my n82 only gets used wen i need to find places( gps). it really is a lovely phone. But then again i don't push it that hard since i use my ipod for music. It's just my daily cam and a nice looking phone wif eye friendly UI. As far as crashes/problems i've only had 2 restarts while i unlocked the keypad which promptly restarted the phone...and my k850i is a late 07 model that i purchased second hand.
That said i think i wanna "upgrade" to a c902. As i want something slightly more compact and classy, but those are my priorities
