Ok, so I can use my T68i as a modem for my computer with either bluetooth, infra red connections etc......

I want to use my mobile as my computers modem and dial my free ISP on a 0808 number in UK, some people have said that T-Mobile dont charge to dial normal free landlines but they do, standard rate except Childline!!!!

Who can dial free phone numbers (UK) on their mobile and what network and tariff are you on?

Cos t-mobile operators just about know what GPRS is!

As far as i'm aware, orange don't charge for freephone numbers...... or at least they never used to, unless this has changed. This message was posted from a T68i

Voice calls are free as long as not a calling card-data calls are charged to 0800 prefixes as standard call-orange are only uk net to do free voice calls This message was posted from a T68i

It depends what tariff you are on, if you are on the free time tariff which includes free calls after 6 or 7pm then you will get charged for data calls no matter which number u call (0800, 0808 etc). If you are on a Anytime or everyone tariff then i don't think you get charged unless you use your more than your free minutes.

im on o2 500 mins off peak at £13 a month and 0845/0800 etc all included in this 0800 is always free

thanks for the response people,

I am on anytime 20, 10p per min all time. When I spoke to the operator I dont think she understood the fact that I was talking about data calls from bluetooth and dial ups. I will try and ask again if hotrodbx you think that I can get free calls after 6.
