Does anyone here miss the days when the T68 was the best thing around and nobody else had colour screens?

But now with Nokia and evrybody else releasing phones with better colour screens, the T68 doesn't feel like its in its prime anymore.

Maybe a few new accessories will change that.

Not really, since the P800 is still the king of the hill.

Everyone moves up... even SE

I do wish that their entry level color screen phones offered 12-bit screens as well though.

The thing bad is that many phone buyers care only the colour, not the most advance techology built in. This message was posted from a R520

I know this is an ericsson forum but i really wish people would grow up and stop the whole SE is better than Nokia stuff cause its beginning to year a little thin now. I had a t68i and thought it was an amazing phone but i sold it a couple of months ago and got a 7650 which im extremely happy with. I couldnt care less what make my phone is, if i like the look of it and like the features then thats good enough for me. So lets all just stop the childish stuff folks. Oh and SE sucks.......................Only kidding!!! This message was posted from a Nokia 7650

Esato is, and will be, a SE suporting site! Come on, the T68 was the first colour screen phone, yes, but the fact is people still choose to buy it even thoug most of the other makes make colour screen phones. As late as this evening I spoke to someone looking for a new phone who was actually going to buy the T68, not because of the colour screen, but because of all the features, looks and size. The T68 might be in the category of good old days, but it certainly is still going strong! This message was posted from a WAP device

All respect to T68/T68i with up to date software!!

You cannot talk about p800 as an upgrade from the T68.

I bought a p800 and delivered it back after six days...!

It was my own mistake.

P800 is - whatever you may put forward - a PDA phone. It is a wonderful technical creation, and it functions really quite well in any aspect, but compared to T68 it overweighs this older phone in some way, and it loses other areas.

T68 has the outfit to make it fast (checking mails, writing SMS eg.), it "feels good" in your hand (p800 is a little bigger but what is worse: It is VERY SMOOTH!!), T68 is more "friendly" in the aspect of having it in your pocket.

p800 has obviously a much beter display, it is MUCH more multifunctioned, very fast menus on the othe hand.

What is mentioned here is just just a few thoughts, but you really have to make it completely clear to yourself want you want:

An excellent multifunctioned phone (still one of the best on the market) or an excellent PDA-phone/"Smartphone" with the highest degree of technical features possible to obtain today...

Both of them reaks of QUALITY...

Personally I just found out how I missed my T68 and put my SIM back into it. I will wait for the "new" T68 overcomer...and one thing is for sure:

IT WILL COME....
