> C905 Issue (Very Strange)
Bookmark topic
My C905 has just come back from the earphone problem.
Last night I was using it when all of a sudden all of the contact names turned into Japanese writing.
I could access the messages, menu, photos. But I tried entering the contacts, calculator and code memo, but couldn't access them.
I could access everything on my memory card, but nothing on the phone memory.
I re-installed the software last night with the Sony Ericsson Update Service, and now it seems fine.
Does anyone know what could of happened to my phone?

The repair centre seems to have installed the wrong firmware during its time there.

That might be the reason then. But I find it strange that the phone came back to me with the English firmware, then all of a sudden the Japanese writing came up and i couldn't access my phone memory.

Could you post a picture of the Japanese writing please?
Can you also find the version of the firmware that allows Japanese to be displayed?
Also interested to know if the language options also include Japanese!
I can send you a text in Japanese !
I am interested to know if it is Japanese or Chinese.

I've re-installed the firmware now, it's back to English.
It was very strange.

ok,
I hope all is OK now...
I wanted to see Japanese because it's not usually a language option on SE phones.
I think v800 was the exception because it was realised 802se in Japan, therefore 802se firmware was available....
