I love my old HBH 610a, only problem was the earloop that didn't fit very well to my ears. Luckily it finally broke the other day during my frustrated attempts of adjusting it.

This made me find out a better solution:
- take out the rubber bushing at the pivot point of the broken/original earclip, this is necessary to make a flexible yet firm enough connection for the mod
- take a piece of heavy gauge solid copper core electrical wire in a suitable color (why not plain black), strip it at one end and use pliers to fasten it to the rubber bushing attached to the fastening point at the headset
- some bending to make it fit your ear/skull better than ever, that's all there is to it.

It will set you back close to zero cents and five minutes of your precious time. If it doesn't work out for you and your original earloop is intact, you can easily revert to original configuration.

Here is a pic from my old k750i to illustrate the idea:

A bonus is that it even looks perfectly ok, almost unnoticable. The solid copper strand enables you to make a perfect fit and adjusting it until you feel satisfied. The downside is that it will only fit one ear at the time but who cares.

PS. The same earloop is used for a number of headsets: HBH-PV710,712, HBH-610, HBH-PV700,HBH-PV712. It is a really inexpensive spare part per se (like five bucks) but with ordering costs and shipping you could just as well get a new headset. At least where I live.
