as the subject suggests, i am having problems receiving sound to my stereo BT headset when the phone connects to the PC via Bluetooth. Now, before you ask, the phone works perfectly well with the PC (for example, myphoneexplorer) on it's own and also, the bluetooth headset is paired and works a treat .. on it's own. I have also disabled powersave function in the bluetooth setting on the phone (has to be off to be able to connect with more than one device at the same time)

what is happening is, i would be listening to music on the headset, then if i connect myphoneexplorer, the sound would cut out while it connects, then it would come back for like 0.2 of a second then silence. Now, at this point, the phone thinks it's still sending audio to the bluetooth headset (as opposed to it prompting me to transfer sound to speaker like when it loses conection with the headset). Something interesting i found, is that while the PC is connected, and i skip to the next track, that 0.2 of a second off the track gets to the headset, then silence while the mobile goes through the track blissfully unaware that the sound isn't going anywere.

as soon as i disconnect bluetooth connection from pc to the mobile, sound starts arriving into the headset.

has anyone encountered this problem? I haven't checked to be 10000% sure but i think this doesn't happen with a normal bt headset (single earpiece).

Hi there.

When you stream stereo audio from your phone to any bluetooth stereo receiver (your headphones for example) it uses pretty much all of the bandwith your bluetooth can handle, therefore if you try to connect something else at the same time, the connection needs to stop the sound before it can send the other data you require. Once the data is sent the sound will return. If you just using a single earpiece bluetooth headset nowhere near as much bluetooth bandwith is needed to transmit the sound because the quality of that sound is so much less, therefore your phone has bluetooth bandwith spare to send any other data.

Basically you cant stream stereo sound while doing anythng else via bluetooth. Hope this helps.

Cheers
