It has just about 1mg.... But unfortunatly all the pre-installed songs/pics/themes etc. Eats up a lot of space so you only have like 400kb to use... :( This message was posted from a T300

If you do a \"master reset\" and at exactly 13 seconds turn the phone off by removing the batt, then leave the phone for 30 sec's, them turn the phone back on. The phone will take about 20 seconds to switch on- the phone will have v.slow response, so switch the phone off then on again. You will now have no space-grabbing pre-installed items, and around 600kb free space. Hope this helps. This message was posted from a T300

The 13 second trick worked great for me also. I got all the T-mobile junk off and it now shows an animated startup and shutdown that I didn't have before. Thanks.

guys, when will you understand,,,u dont get rid of them. they are just hidden. the proof is that if you do a full master reset, they still come back. so the matter here is if you want to see them or not, not delete them or not. wether you do 13 secs or 12.5 secs, the preinstalled stays. cheers

@insyder

I totally agree. It just hides the preinstalled items from you so you can't access them. Someone posted a realy good article on this, I will try and find it for you guys.

While it's true that the 13sec trick doesn't erase the preinstalled themes ringtones and pics from the phone's ROM, it does prevent them from being copied over to the phone's RAM. They will show up again the next time you do a master reset, unless you use the 13 seconds trick the next time too.

It sounds a bit like black voodoo magic, but it works, when done right, the 13sec trick will result in 590k of free RAM that you can use for the games, pics, themes and ring tones that you like.

This trick is especially helpful if your phone has the R1C001 firmware with the memory-management bug that never reclaims memory even when you delete files. More free RAM to begin with means more time before your phone fills up and you need to reset again.

Cheers.

I seem to have an even worse memory problem on my T300 - when I copy a small image (e.g. 3kb) to the phone, it takes up 11kb instead. In picture properties it tells me the image is only 3kb, but when I go to memory status it tells me it is 11kb!

Is this a software problem? I'm not sure what version I have. Do you have to pay to update it?

Thanks.
