I don't like the hpm-70 that plug into your ear =/
What's the best ones that are not like that if I have a £70 budget.

My personal favourite is Koss Portapro plugged into any of the compatible interfaces, i.e accepting a standard stereo 3.5 mm plug. Some prefer Sennheiser PX-100 for budget hifi. Regardless, they are dirt cheap and nothing comes even close in sound quality in this segment to my knowledge.

If you can accept in-ear stuff (I know you said you don't), Creative EP-630 is the most inexpensive ticket to the sound I can live with in a comparable budget class. Not as good as what you get through Koss Portapro but as good as it gets with budget in-ear designs. This is provided you can obtain a perfect seal with any of the supplied silicone tips (otherwise bass will suffer bad), I believe there were three different sizes in the package.

Unless something drastic happened on this market in the last two years I think this standard recommendaton stlll holds.

HPM-64 are good.

However alternatively i would take Sony MDR-EX71 - these are for me one of the best headphones ever.

Personally, I think the HPM-64 is good at best but nowhere as clear as HPM-77. Its about as clear as a HPM-70.

Comparing the HPM-64 to Sony's best non-isolating earphones, the MDR-E888LP, its a far cry. See if you can get your hands on a MDR-E888SP, its the short cord version (40cm) designed for use with the remotes of Sony players.
