Hi, i just wanted to know if i upgraded my gold t68 to i firmware will it be locked, as it is currently unlocked? Also will all menus and everything be the same format as the t68i, as i also have a t68i and am not use the style of the t68 (a lot of things missing), finally am i able to send pics, themes and ringtones to my t68 from my t68i without the i firmware, as i am unable to do so now?

after upgrade the T68(m) will be exactly like a T68i in firmware... and the upgrade doesn't affect the sim lock...

Yeah thanks for the quick reply, do you know if they charge you for the firmware upgrade if you dont have warranty? I bought it last week, 2nd hand. Also whats the lastest firmware i can get it upgraded to (for the t68, in gold)

How much would it cost without warranty? The person i bought it off said hes had it since last summer. Also will they check who the phone belongs to, or do they just take the phone and upgrade it, no questions asked? Thanks for the quick replies

there is something called warranty of production, this is a bit longer than one year, so if it still has this warranty you might still be able to have it upgraded for free...

Is there anyway for me or SE to check how old the phone is? I have RC1 firmware version if that helps? Would a normal phone shop charge for the upgrade or does only SE do it for free?

on the label underneath the battery you will find the production date.. for example 01w40.... some servicepoints does charge for the upgrade, depends on the deal they have with

if you take your battery off there is something written like 02W35....this means year 2002 week 35...... this is the production date....you still have warrency for 15 (!!) months after that.....
So check what is on your sticker inside your phone...
Guess over here in the netherlands they do ask for your bill.......but who cares if you don't have one....just ask....you already have a no.....but maybe it will be a yes.........
JUST TRY......
Good luck with your upgrade !!!!!!!!

Yeah thanks for both replies, just checked and got 02W02, so its almost been a year? Will they check the imei number and ask for I.D, i bought it second hand, so what should i say? I lost the reciept???
I want to take it to place where it only takes 20-30mins to flash, how long does it take in other SE service centres? Can i wait while they do it, as i dont trust no one with my phones?
