> Warranty for device from diff country

I have a M600i where the up scroll malfunctioned. I live in the USA and this phone is not available here. Does Sony Ericsson do warranty support worldwide or only for the country the device is offer in?

I.e., I know, Sony Ericsson and Nokia have one warranty for the countries of the European Union, so when you buy a phone in Germany, you have warranty in France, Italy, etc., aswell.
Where did you buy your phone, was it in Canada ? Then maybe there's something like this European Warranty for North America also ?
When you've bought it in Asia or Europe, then I'm afraid, there's no warranty support.
