Yesterday I got a 8GB SDHC MicroSD for my K850i. I uploaded some music and videos (no more than 1GB) and it worked fine (although the media centre was EXTREMELY slow). Then today everything started getting slow, the camera, games etc. One time when I shut down the camera the blue led's stayed on!
So obviously I thought it was the 8GB card but when I put back my original 512 M2 and it was still slow! Especially the media centre, it's horrible.
So then I started thinking and thinking, and ...... I then made my conclusion. All the guys on this forums that know a lot about firmware, hear me out:
I think that the only thing that makes the K850i so slow is that it's heap memory is very badly managed. I builds up, and builds up until there is no more the use, and the phone or restarts or gets so slow that you can not use it any more. And yes I know that the memory is dynamic, but if there is no more to add, there is physically no more.
Ok so now that you know what I think is wrong with the phone's firmware, you probably want to know what I suggest we do, right? Well I know that patching isn't yet available for the K850i(I think), but I think that a patch (.vkp) might be able to fix the problem.
What do you guys think?

I don't know :( I am going to try very hard to fins someone, when I do I will let you guys know. But do you know if VKP patching is possible for the k850 yet?
If it is please give me a link to anything concerning it.

Patching K850 at the moment....No.
Making a patch for phone to remanage the heap...Impossible. There are only a handfull patchmakers out there with the knowledge, but even they would struggle with the complexity of that task.

Ok cool, but I asked jockep at se-nse what he thinks (he can make and port patches). Maybe he can help me out.
But do you have any other theories as why my K850i got so slow suddenly?
P.S. Read my reply at SE-NSE

HAHA sorry boysie, I just said you should read the reply so that you know I want to continue here :)
The thinh is though, a few days ago I could barely see a difference between my k850i and a friends c902. And now it is very visible, so what do you think could have affected the speed so badly.
Oh and is there a application that I can use to monitor the memory usage of my phone and maybe dump the unused memory? I know opera mini mod can edit the memory values but I want a independent java application.
Thanx

Hey Jenova, ok cool but what type of memory card is it (M2 or MicroSD) and do you maybe know what class the card is (2, 4 or 6), each class represents a different transfer speed?
Oh and what firmware do you have on?
