My C902s battery drains so fast I almost need to carry around a spare battery. Did a little test last night, fully charged it and this morning it was at 79% and after a phone call it was down to 70%. This can't be right can it? I've never had standby/drain issues with the BST-33 batteries in my other SE phones. This is my only phone with BST-38 and I don't really know what kind of standby times to expect. Battery is 08W36 and I have let go all empty before charging it, even though that shouldn't matter anymore woth modern batteries.

So what kind of standby times do other C902 users have, or other BST-38 users? And before I fork out cash for a new battery is there anything else I can do to prevent this kind of drain. Things I already do on the phone are:

- GSM Only, no 3G.
- Display at it's lowest brightness
- Bluetooth is always off.

Let me know guys and gals

My runtime has dropped a lot since I flashed to R3EA038. The network signal seems to 'hunt' a lot more which I guess reduces the battery life.

Thats definetly not right, K850 uses the same battery and can EASILY last a full day of Web browsing, Music, a few 10min calls, some IM and texts-Display brightness at 70%, GSM Only. The C902 should be able to do the same or a little longer, there must be something very wrong with your battery or phone.

My c510 uses a BST38 battery and the battery life is very good. Must be faulty battery.

Sucks, I'm going to try an older firmware before forking out money for another battery... Some other people also reported battery drain issies with the latest firmware.

Just a little update, flashed my C902 with an old firmware and the drain seems much much less, battery still at 93% after 8 hours, didn't use it at all though.

Hrm after taking some pictures the battery dropped to 90% quickly.

In fact Lithium batteries will preserve if you charge it before it gets drained completely. For optimal performance you should charge it as the level goes around 50 %.

There is definitely wrong with the battery as the drain still continues with an old firmware. This morning the phone was at 73% battery, my other SE phones were around 95-93%. I've charged them all at the same time yesterday afternoon. I've ordered a new BST-38 battery which hopefully solves the issues

It can't be right for a phone with no usage to drain over 25% in the course of 16 hours...

After updating the phone with SEUS it went to 65%.

New battery has been ordered but did also did a final test, this Friday I fully charged the battery and unplugged it from the charger at 1pm, the phone has been in standby with a spare sim every since, I've used the phone maybe one or two times to play some java game for about 10 minutes. The battery 2 days later on Sunday 1pm is 15%. Standby time should be 380 hours. Which is more than 10 days. So my battery must be faulty. Right?

I also have the same battery problem.

Only lasts for 36 days the most. Playing 6 hours of music and sending 100 messages on that timespan.

My battery was made 08W28. My W980 runs on R3EA037 (the latest)

should I bring this back? Unit is still under warranty
