> T39 display illumination too dark?

I just got a second-hand Ericsson T39. Brilliant phone! with one exception. It seems to me that the illumination of the display is too dark. Compared to my R320, it is about 2x darker. When the phone goes to half-light mode (in car profile), it becomes way too dark to see in the dimmed light. The display is working fine, as does the rest of the phone. The keypad illumination is OK too.
Is it possible to change the illumination of the display, or maybe it is a hardware problem? (I don't know if it is important, but the phone has a custom shell, which is not "made by Ericsson").

Hi I don't know about t39 but on my t600 you can adjust the brightnes and contrast in the service settings (press >*<<*<* to open the menu)

Nope, no brightness adjust in the service menu, only contrast. Software is R2M.

Hej, there is nothing 2 do, have same prob as u. Compared a r320 is brightness on r520 lower, maybe 2 save power. I miss d stronger backgr light too, but i have 2 live with it, reg
