I just bought my C905 and I am very pleased by this exellent phone, somehow the wifi reception is poor!
Are there any ways to boost the wifi reception via editing FW files thanks to A2 uploader?

The problem is that it has a tiny areial. According to the service manual I have, the bluetooth/wifi antenna is a peice of wire just behind the fastport, about that same length as the fastport. Maybe you could extend it?

The wifi implementation in SE manufactured cells,is a pure joke. Still using the by now obsolete 'b' standard. Not to mention the poor s/n ratio. Xperia is the only one with a acceptable wifi. But then again,is not made by SE. If you want a cell with good wifi, look at the nokia n and e series. Even on 'half power' it is going like a boing

I only increase to full power if I am scanning the 'surroundings'.

Not strictly true on the C905,, it will happily connect to G Wifi as well, i know this because i use it every day on my G router at home. Try turning off the power saving option in the WIFI settings, that may make a difference. The WIFI has been a lot better since the recent firmware update, especially the network sharing part of it.

yep, it does have wifi G, and I know because wifi b is turned off on my router. Also, I think the implimentation of wifi is very good, mainly because of the ability to copy files to the phone via wifi, and also the nice, simple interface.
