> C905 Slow HSDPA & WIFI Connection

Just changed to a C905 from a N95 Nokia, the nokia wifi was very good and it picked up 3g quite well too (hsdpa) the c905 seems to struggle and in the house i get very low signal constantly alternating between gsm and 3g, very annoying.
Internet browsing speeds seems slower if I connect to laptop and use it as a modem.
Is there a fix to this or is it designed to be slower?

Was fine before with the N95 got good signal.
If trying to watch youtube it is constantly buffering

Both are capable of 3.6Mbps HSDPA.
I've found SE phones to have good reception and perform well as a Modem.
If your having problems try SEUS first then take it in for servicing. Print out some speedtests using both phones as evidence.
Was the C905 supplied by your network provider? Usually these phones are optimised for their network to prevent these problems.

Computer Shopper are currently doing a UK wide survey of actual mobile broadband (HSDPA) speeds. Last I saw, a couple of weeks ago, the average reported was 1.2 Mb/s. You do need a constant very good reception (80%+) to get close to full speed.
WiFi can be very iffy depending on where you are with respect to the source. Plus a very rough estimate of your bandwidth at any instant is the available bandwidth at that instant divided by the number of users connected at that instant. Two highly variable parameters.
I have a pal who recently dumped his landline ADSL for mobile HSDPA. He's regretted it ever since.

During our tests the C905 consistently lasted around 3 days or so, which was good for our usage. On average we sent and received around 20 SMS per day, plus made a few short calls and did some light web browsing. I also had the C905 automatically checking for new email every 2 hours.

Lucky you able to check for emails automatically every 2 hours.
A windows live email account doesnt work and get server not certfied all the time. I am told the certificates have not been added.
