was: PLEASE HELP with my W760i.
I bought my W760i from China a recently, it's not a fake one or anything, but somehow the China telecommunication company have modified the whole Phone's Firmware, it longer has googles maps etc as it should , and the GPS software is all for China only. I live in New Zealand now and I can't use any of these GPS functions.
I tried updating the phone's firmware via SEUS, but it did nothing with the GPS software etc.
Can anyone give me a link to download the original US or any other overseas english country's version of the firmware? so that it will replace this chinese version of the firmware? Please

I tried that, I found a file called 'customize' too it reads all these chinese crap, anyway I added the customize_upgrade to the folder, but when I restart the phone that chinese GPS thing is still there, I tried to update it but the SEUS says I already have the newest firmware.....any other suggestions??

There is an option in SEUS to 'Update anyway', tick that. As long as you have got the right CDA, you should be able to get rid of the CHINA FW.

I got the Update Service exe on my PC, but when I connect phone to it for up date, it says my phone's got the latest update, and there are only buttons that say 'Update another' and 'cancel' but no Tick boxes that allow me to update it anyway.
I guess I'll just have to wait for a new update to come out.
