i've been using the email client ever since i got my phone and love it but recently i switched from IMAP4 yahoo account to POP3 yahoo account. (the accounts are the same email) I switched to POP3 so i could receive emails while using WIFI. I've tested it many times and i can receive emails but only when i press the check email button, but it wont automatically check for new emails even when that option is on. Another problem is that when i do go and press check emails to see if ive received new ones the new ones download fine but the old ones disappear and im not able to get them back. I wonder if there is a setting or something i can do that will fix these problems. Thanks!

what are the; new incoming mail server of yahoo mail, outgoing mail server?

On your computer, log on your webmail and go to settings. Uncheck 'Delete emails fetched from POP'. Or check 'Keep copy of emails in Inbox'.

I have similar problems on my c510. With the SonyEricsson email set wizard my Gmail works fine but Yahoo it keeps saying invalid username or password but its not. Also i cant even download Yahoo Go! application cos its not availiable for my phone yet

thanks steven i realized that on the same yahoo account i use thunderbird and the setting that was on would delete the messages the only only problem i have now is getting the email client to check and automatically download emails any suggestions??

aquared29 to get POP for yahoo email you have to change your region to asia and use the SE website to configure the email settings and it works

the invalid username or password one can catch you out. Some pop3
providers require the full name not jut the user name, e.g.
username@yahoo.co.uk instead of username !

everything is filled out right i do get emails only when i press to check it doesnt automatically get them for me which is the problem and i have a g705 with w715 firmware not C510 i dont know if there is a difference
