is it going to be possible to make a codec for the w995 so that you can watch divx and xvid video's on it?
or are these things just not possible?

its not a complete OS to just make a codec and watch DivX on our phones... our phones are java, that is like a virtual machine sitting on the processor, to watch DivX we require OS support and hardware support.... so, hardware is capable, but no software
so, its not possible...

also, the w995 is not a smartphone, so it wont allow third party software to install media codecs into the OS software...#
thats plus point of s60..... i guess....

Perhaps a java pr flash video player could play divx,but anyway if the C905 can play xvid why not the w995?

thats lame... i dont really know why the changed the video playback on the w995. its basicallt the same phone but with better audio, and slightly worse camera as the c905.....

It's normal that the camera is not as good as the C905,you will have to wait for several FW updates to get the full potential,or...if A2 uploader is compatible...upload the Darkmagician Cam driver which is build for the C905

yeh im guessing they will probs do sum camera updates in the new firmware. all the w995 needs is manual iso, if it had that it wud be ultimate. and maybe a audio driver to make the speakers even better

it has wi-fi the same as the c905.

the phones arent same...
the speaker in walkman phone is tailored different than cybershot phones... for louder quality playback
and camera is crippled
but in top end phones, this difference goes on decreasing...
