> Keeps losing very poor cable connection
Bookmark topic
Since new I always had very poor connection between my W890i & my PC via cable
It connects - then loses connection, then back again - totally unreliable
I seem to recall the same problem with W880i
Apart from holding the phone and connector toghtly together by hand - i'm resorted to balancing the phone to retain a connection
I think SE connection is ropey
Anyone had similar problem - or more importantly a solution?
Edit: Added notification by email - dunno why this is not default like every oither forum in the civilised world

I have the same problem. Used to think it was the cable. Sometimes it is the case, but less often than you think. Lately I've been connecting via bluetooth (finally bought a bluetooth capable-notebook) and disconnection happens just as much as with cable. I believe that most of the time, the culprit is our own network providers. But, if you've been using the same cable for more than a year, you should either clean the connector and fastport pins with a clean, dry toothbrush or if that doesn't work then a replacement is probably due.

hi..
the problem is most of the time the network...
but sometimes the place where we connect our charger, headset, USB to our phone also is the problem....
so you have to hold the pin with your hand or push in a little harder to make a connection
if that is the case, the culpirt is ur phone connect point, no remedy right now....
is that the case?

steven, cleaning the contacts wont help much if he has to push deep to get connection...

Lots of dirt can do that. In this case there is need to pushing deep to make the contacts

yes, but if dirt is there, then it wont require pushing always, four five times pushing deep will cease the problem for few days
i am confident its not dirt, cause dirt does not cause simialr problems throughout
like you push thrice and contact happen, so if there is dirt, it will not cause you to push in so deep next time...
