> Threaded SMS or Conversations on w508
Bookmark topic
I got the w508! I can honestly say that I love it. Only one thing.... It's supposed to have Threaded SMS or Conversations view - at least that's what so many reviews and other things say - and it does not. And it's not just my model. I had a chance to try 2 others (from a different batch as a matter of fact) and none of them have the "Conversations" setting in the SMS inbox! What's so weird is that the User Guide on the phone itself talks about this setting and how to get to it, but the phone just doesn't have it!
I was thinking that if I could get to the menu.ml file with A2Uploader, I would be able to take a look, maybe fix it, but A2Uploader isn't cooperating!
The phone is fantastic, though. Really nice screen, camera, build - feels great! Just this Messaging thing needs to be fixed.
Anyone? Any thoughts?

No branding - straight from Sony Ericsson! Fully unbranded/unlocked. I even spoke with SE about it and they said it was possible some phones were released without the feature - they weren't sure. But that kinda stinks!
And it doesn't explain the A2Uploader problem....

I actually tried that already! Despite the fact that it said I have the latest software (as of Monday night I tried), I went ahead and did it anyway hoping that since it says that part about "If you're having trouble with your software,..." etc.
Thoughts on the A2Uploader issue either?

In message menu like on my c510 when it shows inbox you should just scroll right and it should show conversations
strange indeed. On my older Orange branded c510 they did not remove the threaded sms.

I was hoping I could get to the menu.ml file or something with A2Uploader and make an edit to be able to fix it (since it's unbranded), but not being able to get the A2Uploader to work is really frustrating! Why would SE do this!

That is very strange. Oh by the way I just realised I miss typed on my last post I put Orange did NOT remove the threaded conversation with their branding. They did. I was annoyed and I think Orange need a kick up the backside to stop messing with phones and sell them to customers how they would want it.

SO strange! Orange removed the conversations view? That makes no sense! Why! This phone is for sure unbranded - unless they were meant to be sold to carriers for them to add branding? I'm so frustrated.

Just bought the w508 and the threaded conversations IS there in the software. Just go to Inbox - move to right (conversations).
