I have been trying to find a detailed pinout to make my own cable/accessory to charge the mobile in car, play music via my car stereo and answer phone calls with an external button and find the following sites that give the same pinout really:
http://pinouts.ru/CellularPhones-P-W/se_k750i_pinout.shtml
http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=542740
http://www.dreambox.hk/cellphones/Sony%20Ericsson_K610.php
1 USB +5V in USB 5V supply - in K750 not used
2 SP_REF Reference
3 Mic+/AUXIN_L Microphone+ / AUX Input - left
4 Mic-/AUXIN_R Microphone- / AUX Input - right
5 DFMS/SP_L DFMS / headphone speaker - left
6 DTMS/SP_R DTMS / headphone speaker - right
7 VIDEO/STB Video / strobe
8 VPPFLASH Short to pin 9 for handsfree detection
9 GND Ground
10 CTMS / USB DATA+ CTMS / USB+ (data) - in K750 not used
11 CFMS / USB DATA- CFMS / USB- (data) - in K750 not used
12 Charge In Battery charging (+5V) - in K750 not used
So I will use pin 9 and 12 for charging
pin 9, 5 and 6 for sound out
ping 9, 3 and 4 (with 3 and 4 being shorted) as an external mic in
I will short pin 8 to 9 to make it register as a handsfree mode.
Only remaining issue is. Sony's handsfree kit has a button to answer phone calls. That button obviously close loops two pins - any ideas which pins?
Thanks in advance

I found your post on a Google search. As I want to do exactly the same thing, maybe we can help each other. I have an SE k800i.
Thanks for the pin-out info, that's obviously what I need to get started.
I have a few questions for you:
1. When you mention the "Sony handsfree kit", do you mean the one that comes with your phone? the one with earphones and a mic with a little button? Not sure which pins are close looped but will see if I can work it out.
2. Have you found a wireable SE connector? The only way I can see to make a customised lead at the moment is by cutting off the transformer from a mains charger, and plugging a modified handsfree into the piggy-back connector lead.
3. For charging, do you know if pin 1 can be used instead of pin 12? I assume that the SE USB data lead uses pin 1 for charging.
Reason for asking Question 3 - As I do not have an Aux input for my car stereo, I am planning (initially) to use an FM transmitter. The device I have ordered, plugs into a cigar lighter socket and has a 3.5mm jack input. It also has an integral mp3 player with SD and USB slots. So I thought I may be able to use the USB slot to charge my phone, but no reason why I couldn't connect the +5v out to pin 12 instead of pin 1 (if this would work).
MP3 Player - FM Transmitter
Although I ordered an identical one for £5 on ebay from Hong Kong.

Just checked out my handsfree, the button close loops pin 3 and pin 4 (mic+ and mic-).
Does this make sense?
