I hope someone can help me, I'm getting really lost trying to figure out what to do with my phone(s) !

I have two c905 phones, one for me and one for my wife. Both are UK models bought on ebay to replace our old k810i phones. My wife's phone is a gold one, the box says "new software with carphone warehouse navigator, bbc iplayer, smile shutter, and you tube" so i figure its a new c905+ model. My phone is a standard black, it also says (on the back of the box) new software with smile shutter but I'm missing some of the nice features of the gold phone. My phone has branded 02 software on it (o2 welcome screen, 02 shortcut on right hotkey and o2 option in the menu). both phones are running 1205-9079 r1da032 090204 software, mine says its customisation its Telefonica-UK in the service software menu, the gold one is western europe.

So - how do i get my black phone to have iplayer, youtube, google maps, cpw navigator? Also the black phone has rss feeds in the media menu (but no tv - iplayer), the gold one has tv and no rss web feed entry. Very confusing!

I've previously updated my k810i firmware via my usb lead (i forget the name of the app I used now, it was something ++) so reasonably familiar with some of the terms required. If anyone can tell me the files I need and the steps that I need to go through I'd be really grateful!

hi and welcome

your phone is branded, and being branded by an operator, limits the phone to some features. your wife's is generic(non branded). as flashing is known to you, i think you can either flash your C905 yourself or debrand it with SEUS.

1- if you want to flash it: Tutorial: Flashing A2 phones

or

2- debranding it: Debranding Orange C905

btw, the program you used with your k810 was the xs++.

Which, I must add, does not work on newer sony ericsson phones (C905, C702, W910, K850 etc.) For those phones you must use a program called A2 uploader, but all thats covered in the tutorial tranced linked to
