Hi everyone!

Yes, of course, I can get off my butt and do a search, but I would like to know if anyone can recommend good secure reliable parking at Heathrow.

I am 95% sure that Air France will fly from Terminal 2 for Charles De Gaulle Airport.

I can see many companies. Some say go to their parking centre, they drive you into the airport, and when you return they meet you with your car.

I have heard horror stories about cars being used whilst owner is overseas

any advice welcomed and I would give an esato members the cash if I parked in their drive,,,,

I know it's not the reply you asked for, but would you not be better off with taking the train down to Paddington and catching the Heathrow Express?

In that case, you're best off just using the long stay facilities when you enter the airport.
One to four days: £15.70 per day
Five days and over: £15.10 per day (for all days)

Book here.

I always use the BAA parking and never had a problem and often, if you book a couple of weeks in advance, they're also among the cheapest

thanks arien617 and masseur,

arien617, I just found the link that you told me, I guess that masseur you use the same -secure.baa.com

edit - got another question - when I put in my dates, I see many seemingly different companies.

here so I guess I just choose the best one for me?

I also noticed that some don't require you to hand in the keys...

I am off to double check the terminal !

Oh! Final question. Flight leaves at 4.00pm. My ticket shows - Last check in time: 15:30 and I will only have hand luggage.

So, these days, how long is it best to allow for Heathrow check-ins? I usually use my small local airport

Never leave it to the minimum time at Heathrow - general rule.
Get there at least 1hr to 1hr20 before your flight departs. Airline dependant, your checkin may be quick, or considerably longer. Try and use the online service if you can!
T2 hasn't got the nicest duty free, but there are a small number of places you can look around if you have the time.

Thanks arien617!

Duty free won't be so important for travel to Paris will it? Doesn't it not apply for EU member states?

I will be early and will do the online check in the day before. I think that can be up to 30 hours before hand.

Thanks again, still a bit confused about all the choices on the baa car parking page and will look again later.

In what way? You will still be passing through the same duty free area as other passengers traveling out of the EU, if that's what you mean?

Hi,

I thought tax-free shopping did not exist in the EU!

Yes, same area but don't you have to show your boarding pass to get the tax free goods, and to show that you are travelling outside of the EU?
