Hi, I'm new to here.
I got a problem in using t68i and IrDA. I have a Bafo BA 120 USB to IrDA adaptor. The adaptor can be installed properly but when I put my phone near the adaptor, nothing happen. I'm sure the infrared device of the phone is opened. The PC cannot recognise any Ir device when I put the phone near it. The box of the adaptor said it support SIR and I read that it's the mode which the devices should use.
Would anybody know what's the problem and teach me what to do now? Thx!

Dont really know about a USB because i have onboard IRDA but try the following:
Go to the properties of the USB hardware device and check the drivers. If there is a full baud/half baud setting then put it on half, and try decreasing the data speed (i would start at 9600 and work up).

thanks for you reply. i have tried that already and i can't find any settings for half/full band. there are different transceiver types for the bf-120 like hp 1100, infineon, sigmatel 4000, vishay 6102, etc. what are they? and there is another option call "min. turn-around time". what is its usage? thx

hmmm. Dont really know then. The transciever types will allow your reciever to emulate other IRDA devices. You could try going through the list of types and comparing them against posts in esato. match the type to one where somebody has posted that it works.
Turn around time could be a number of things i.e. time between sending and receiving or time between each output stream so i dont really know.
As a last ditch attempt you could try contacting BAFO directly using their supoport email address:
