Hy guys...on sunday,immediately after reading the post about the ericsson mp3 player and of it's incredible price on Expansys.com I've ordered it....but today after two days (the site says 2 days delivery) I checked under the tracking order part of their web site and it was written that they needed further info to dispatch my order.I was quite furious because none of this was written during the secured trasaction....I immediately e-mailed them wondering what kind of 'further info ' they needed...
After only an hour they answeared me that they needed a photocopy on both sides of my credit card and Id sent to them by fax...(what a nuisance I thought!)...but I managed to provide them with all those things..(small problem...it's almost impossible to make a photocopy of a credit card,because the kind of plastic it is made of reflects the photocopy machine's light..so I sent them the best copy I could obtain)...I really hope that my mp3 reader will soon be sent to me......
BUT....MY QUESTION IS.....WHY DID THEY ACT LIKE THIS WITH ME?ONLY BECAUSE I DO NOT LIVE IN THE UK? BECAUSE I'M ITALIAN (WHY DO THEY HATE US ?HAS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED MY SAME PROBLEMS? PLEASE LET ME KNOW...!!! I TRUST IN YOU GUYS....

From UK I didn't have to do anything like you have hasd to do. Must have greater security checks outside UK.

After all the sales our forum must have generated for expansys, they should publish a big thanks on there web-site!!!

I ordered a TDK Bluetooth PC-card from expansys.com a couple of days ago. I first placed my order and choosed to pay by credit card, and I got the same mail with all those verifing stuff, make copies of drivers license ++++. So I wrote an email back to them and made them cancel my order. I then placed a new order and now choosed to pay by bank transfer. This is A LOT easier than by credit card...

It's a bit stupid that you have to do so much just because you are paying by credit card, but in the other hand, I can understand Expansys, that they want their customer to feel that this is a safe place to shop.

I too have two lousy experiences with Expansys.

The first was when I tried to order a charger for my iPaq. When I placed the order it was our of stock (expected within 4 days). Four weeks! later I received an e-mail informing that the charger had arrived but my credit card had expired. I immediately e-mailed the expiry date of my new credit card, but in the meantime (about 3 hours) the item was sold out!

The second time (last week) I ordered a Navman GPS sleeve for my iPaq. After going through the hassle with faxing copies of this and that, I then noticed on the order tracking that they were waiting for confirmation of my credit card, after waiting for 3 days! I called them and asked how this can take so long, normally this takes about 15 seconds according to my experience. Their answer was that they have an outside firm who sends a mail! to my bank and that they were still waiting for the confirmation. Naturally I cancelled the order, and will never again use Expansys.

I understand that they want their customers which use credit card payments to feel safe on their web site....BUT..as a matter of facts I've shopped with my credit card almost everywhere in the net and I've never got fraud sites or similar stuff....I've bought cds on CdNow,Knifes,T-shirts,Books,Cd players,Cameras and so on....but even when the site wasn't protected with an encrypted code , I've never been frauded and that makes me wonder why shall I have so many troubles on ordering a simple and nice gadget for my mobile on a Uk site......even Amazon.co.uk is much much better then Expansys....I've ordered them many Vhs and lots of Books.....
Well.....I hope I'll receive my nice,cheap and small mp3 reader as soon as possible.

I AM ASTONISHED AND FURIOUS AT THE SAME TIME!!!!.... this morning I whent on the tracking order part of expansys.com web site and there it said that my order was ready to be shipped...everything finally seemed ok.....but I have just now received an e-mail from expansys.com which says that my order has been declined,but the mail has no explanation about why this has happened....Is said that I had to mail them to know something..I went again on the tracking area of their site and it now also says that my order has been declined.....

I'm so angry I could ******* all of them...

Yes...I've done it immediately after that I red the decline announce....I hope they will give some good reasons for acting like that....
And the strangest thing is that I still have 200 Euros in my bank account ( I know it's not that much , but it's surely enough for that mp3 reader...)
