Hi all, I've been searching for the answer to this problem in ages and I'm desperate:

I have a HBH-DS200 (which supports A2DP as we know)
and I have a USB Bluetooth dongle for my PC named Manhattan (model 179218), which also supports A2DP

How on earth am I not able to pair these two together??

When I try searching devices on my PC, the HBH-DS200 never shows up, while another Bluetooth device of mine (which is SE 900) always shows up and is paired perfectly well. I'm using the Bluetooth software that comes with the dongle.

What's going on? Please help!

I take it you've put the DS200 into pairing mode ? You do this by pressing and holding down the power button when the unit is off. Once it turns on. Continue holding the power button down and it will go into pairing mode. The display will show a flashing circular symbol. Then search from your computer. You will have to input the passkey when you pair the DS200 to your computer. This is 0000.

Thanks Rookwise, it worked =)

But then once its connected, do you have to do anything else?

I've got them paired but there are no sounds being transmitted from the PC

Please see the screenshot provided below

Everything is hooked up like this, and I'm hearing nothing from my HBH-DS200

Can't see your pic cos I'm using my phone. Have you enabled the audio profile on your computer ? Try playing some music or a video and see where the sound comes from. Soon as i get home from Birmingham tonight I'll have a look at your pic.

Hi Rookwise,

Thanks a lot for your reply. Sorry I have been away from my computer for awhile.

Here is a bigger version of the picture in case u need it

In my last attempt, I managed to get the DS200 to play in headset mode (mono) for some reason (although of course the sound quality was crap), but whenever I switched to advanced audio (A2DP?) there were no sounds whatsoever even though it could still connect

In control panel go to Audio settings and select "Bluetooth Stereo Audio" as default playback.
