Bookmark topic
Just read the T68i has a built in Thermometer, i know its quite useless, but why does the software not take advantage of this feature?

Lots of phones does (don't know if not all), but only phone i know that user can access this function is nokia 5210. And you're right - it is useless. At the phone i had in my hands it didn't show always even close temperature, as it's not ment to. It suppose to monitor battery temp.

You can't get to it from the menu. Has to be done via some software such as
T68x Monitor or
floAt's Mobile Agent and do it over a lead, ir or bluetooth.

You can also look it up from the service menu. Don't remember the combination right now. Do a forum search

Internal temp sensors usually exist in most electronic devices and will shut down the device if the temp is outside of the normal operating temperature range. I.e. if a chip gets too hot and could kill itself the phone should shut off before it gets too hot.
