> TMobile - Email through SMS no longer available on T68i??!! :(
Bookmark topic
Hi.
I used to have an Ericsson T28World and while using it with TMobile (and VStream) I was able to select the type of SMS and send it as an email. I am now using a T68i and this option is no longer available.
The funny thing is that if I insert a SIM card from a different carrier (my home carrier, abroad) I am given this option!
Any ideas why this is happenening and if there is any way to fix it?!
Many thanks!

check your message settings. you have the option to set the sms type before sending a message or choose a type by default. you can find these using this shortcut: press joystick, 2, 1 6, 3.

Well, that's the thing!
The option is not there under message settings!! It only appears when I change my SIM card!!

Arrgh! i really hate when carriers do that sh*t! today the feature works - tomorrow they disable it. Also see: at&t disables 'save picture' with RD5007. :-(

Oh well, nevermind! I've figured it out! I inserted my other SIM card, went to SMS Options and selected "Set on Send" for message type, then inserted the TMob SIM and now it works just fine!
Thanks anyway guys!

OR ... write a new sms.
you can type in the message as follows.
i.e. sending an email to
ESATO@esato.com
then
send to T-mobile's email gateway
email_message format.
i.e.
ESATO@esato.com_hi there.
send to:
500/+500
hope this helps other t-mobile users.

So the email gateway is 500. I am doing something wrong since I cannot get it to work.
On SE T300---->
Configure Email Gateway:
1. Messages
2. Text
3. Options
4. Email Gateways
5. Enter the number "500"
*sidenote - what's tmobiles service center?
Write a message:
1. Messages
2. Text
3. Write new
4. Enter Email address
5. Break to New Paragraph
6. Enter message
7. Get to number screen - dial 500
Is this how you're supposed to get it to work?
