Hi,
I have a w595 and have setup the phone's built in email client for a connection to Gmail via the Imap protocol. This all works ok (I can send and receive fine) apart from sometimes it doesn't notify me of a new email, when I know there is one. And sometimes it does. Its almost as if the "always on" connection has dropped off, maybe after a period of inactivity - but then the phone is supposed to support IMAP Idle. I can't find any similar reports from other people which is puzzling as this is a very common configuration.
I have reinstalled the latest firmware. I have also used the Sony website to re-send the Gmail setup configuration. I'm on the 3 network (in the UK). I have tried 3 technical support but they didn't know.
