Hi all,

I packed my w705 in order to sell it oday, and my friend(has bought from me beofre) was really happy so I insisted on him trying the phone. Well, h eput his sim in, and it does not recognize it.I get upset, really sorry and surprised! It was fine last night!!!!!! I put my sim inside...and IT does not read mine either!!!
I repeat, I was using it last night, cleaned my photos and packed it up for him.
Nothing strange,
and we cannot make it work! Screen is fine, bit "insert sim" keeps popping out.
He has taken it home to try an update by SEUS, he trusts me enough. He paid for the mobile an dkeeps saying to me "it's alright, I'll sort it out", but I am sooo worried.
WHAT THE HELL has happened here?
Any ideas?
Will An update or new software solve this????
edit: it was branded orifinally, I unlocked it by emi and put eh newest firm first through davinci then SEUS . I inisit I have been using it with these two operators for weeks and never have had a problem!

Thats the type of thing the networks normally say over the phone when they are reading from a script. It never works.

Funny enough I've just had this happen to my T700 after 4 months of perfect use. All of a sudden the phone lost signal, battery indicator went blank, and i got the Insert Correct Sim prompt (the phone was bought sim free from SE UK). I pulled the battery out and put it back in. Powered up the phone and it wouldn't go past the Sony Ericsson logo and it wouldn't charge telling me it was an unknown battery. Luckily there was 50% left in the battery so i decided to try SEUS for a reflash. Everything went ok and the phone is working again. Just wasn't able to back anything up though so i now gotta put everything back on it.
