i went out in the sunshine and tried my D80 against my C902 just for fun, (im not looking for some "look-at-c902-its-the-best-cellphone-in-the-world"....I snap this pictures just for fun, (and because i was a bit bored )

anyway...... C902 have not a chance in full size (of course), thought it was fun to see if they are similar in some points...
((both cams is set on full auto. (and D80 is set on 5.6 m.p. instead of 10 m.p.))

No offence, but i just dont believe any of your c902 pics are orignal and are not edited. So i cant make a judgment.

Comparing color saturation the C902 is not too bad (although it still has problems with red - look at the handle on the trike in the last shot). White balance is slightly off giving a bit yellowish tone.

If you compare at full size then the difference becomes obvious - small lens and small sensor (no matter if it's CMOS or CCD) obviously doesn't catch as much light as the large lens and the huge sensor in the D80 and the camphone have to compensate with noise reduction and sharpening with resulting loss of detail.

Which is sadly, no matter how I hate to admit it, also the case on C905. Such a thing will never be fixed with firmware updates. Both C902 and C905 are still OK for quick snaps in the sun like these though.

I liked the difference in focal lenghts
Yeah, this is something that no software can fix- sometimes physics are physics.
I know that even when comapring my 5mpx dslr with my 8mpx Canon SD850 at full size, there is an immense difference in details and sharpness...
cool way to spend the afternoon(i'm guessing) though

that's a good comparison...those photos look realy crisp. i think it helps to do it on a nice day. the real trick is low light settings or action shots

hahahahahaha 100% agree even edited , the Nikon shots are the best, we CANT compare a simple phone with a REAL camera, no comparison

Who use Nikon can say one thing to you Plank:
You really don't know how to use a camera.
Ps.: Your c902 isn't a camera.

must be the most unlogic and (dumb) answer ive seen on a long long time
of course all my pics are original.......(how hard can it be, you have both original size, original exif data and original picture..................
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

edit.......
luhcchas....have you any idea what the difference is to save a D80 picture in "Jpeg format or RAW format" ?????
(starting to think you nearly as Foolish as the person over you^^)
ps.......and if you read a bit more careful, you see that D80 is shot in 5.6 m.p. (i even wrote it with Bold text....hhhmmm)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
to the rest of Esato....(or whatever)
now you maybe wondering "why" (in Gods name) i used 5.6 m.p instead of 10 m.p......well, because its more equal of course,
(i was more looking how good C902 (in full auto) handle colours against D80.....a better Reference camera then D80 you doesn't need
