At least I have the new PC Suite CD. It has a confusing version. When you install it, you would see a version 1.0.6. But when you right-click on the P800 icon on the system tray (near the clock of your PC's desktop) and select the Phone monitor's About menu, it would be listed at 1.10. Anyway, backup/restore is version 1.4.2.0.

I think this would solve the synch issues for other people... I recommend that you get this version.

I have no problems with my sync software... everything works. Even Mobipockets enews sync! :):) (I was so happy when the Web Companion worked, even in it's beta stage)

I am gonna wait for a much later version of the P800 CDs and firmware. Right now, the hassle of jumping from R1B to R1C (if they even have it here) isn't worth the trip to SE just yet.

I think I'll wait 'til April or May before paying them a visit. I'm sure the software that'll be out by then will be much more stable...and maybe even have Opera already!!!

hi

i was just given the 1st of 2 CD's. So this contains only the PC Suite app and manuals.

I believe the other files would be on the 2nd disc - which I do not have.

Yes you can install the newer version over the old one. You don't need to do an uninstall.
