I was wondering, instead of subscribing to voicemail through my cell phone service provider, is there a Java program that I could upload to my phone that would automatically answer after a certain number of rings, play a recording, then record a message?
If it doesn't exist, how possible is it to make such a program?...I don't have the knowledge on how to make one, I'm just wondering if it's at all doable.

To me what you have just said sounds like that your operator charges you for using voicemail services which makes it close to impossible if not really impossible to have what you desired in the above post. I am in swaziland and I am registered with Swazi MTN and I get all that you have mentioned for free. However please note I have no special application for this

That's part of the reason that I want the program, but I don't see how it would have anything to do with the service provider.
I was thinking it would mostly be commands to press buttons. For example, once it rings 5 times, the program presses the Answer Call button, then somehow a recording is played and it presses the "Record Conversation" button.
Now that I'm thinking about it though, I have a W810, and I think once you answer a call, it minimizes/pauses your Java apps.
I'm completely clue-less though...anyone know a way around this?
