> Ericsson /// R380? Any good?
Bookmark topic
Hi, I have a SonyEricsson T300 at the moment, and would like an other phone, more capable of PDA style functions, with a proper calender, but only have around (or want to spend around) £100. I have been looking at a Ericsson// R380 World, as a second device for tasks such as on-the-move word prosessing, memo's, stuff like that, do you think its worth it? If you can think of an other more cometant device, please advise.

The R380 can't do any word processing. However it does have a memo program. As far as I know, only the P800 amony Ericsson and Sony phone has a word processign capabilities and that too only for viewing files. Hopefully someone will create a program by which we can edit MS Office files and view them horizontally.
Regarding your question about any phone which has such features, I think only the Nokia 9210 series and the Palm OS phone hybrids have such capabilities.

I an aware that it does not have one built in, but as it user the Epocİ OS, you could surly use the one used on devices like the Psion Revo, and upload it to the phone, or does the phone not contain any spare memory?

R380s, ah yes. An oldie but a goodie. Won't do word processing, no camera, no bluetooth. Otherwise an excellent phone. I have a P800 but still use my R380, it's daddy.

I think the R380 is far underrated. It's a much better phone than it's sales showed.
It's a little bit big... bigger than the P800, but I think the interface is similar and the handwriting is the same, CIC jot.
It's a pretty good phone, just a little bit big!

Very good phone R380. It will be perfect if GPRS was built in, more memory capacity. But then it should be named as another phone R580.
