W800-----> P1i--> W902---> W995i (there before 3 nokias and one motorola)
my W800i was my first sony ericsson (not first sony walkman from this i had about 50)...still got it and it works very well.
when i bought it i was amazed from it's size and what it could do.small,fast,easy to use.the walkman part was amazing .. sound like the best MP3 players the volume was so hard that you could never use it cos it will damage you hearing... i have also the sony MD-3 MP3 player but the phone was much better,so i never used it even that i had 20BG on it.the camera was making such a good pictures that you would believe it if I say 5MPx and not 2...,could go on and on but ok the joystick was making bit problems and it was not 3G or wifi or stereo bluetooth....but the phone did more then it promissed .used it heavily for 2,5 years,never a problem,never update,the original one from augustus 2005.
December 2007 for my birthday i got a present from my partner ... the P1i,was very happy about it,beautiful phone with great keyboard...i think they should make them standard on every phone ... but the next day it started making problems, crashed few times a day ... made pictures and they were green one one side and purple on the other ,went online and asked for help,good people helped me to find new software and how to install it,must say it was easy and most of the problems were solved .the sound on the phone was good but about 30% less hard then in the W800i also the equalizer was preprogrammed and you could not adjust it manualy .but it had play lists that worked very good. you just had to put the name and it found all the songs from your list...i started the like P1i also the touch screen worked well,and did i say that keyboard?
last December i bought the W902,played with it a bit and did not really like it,same day I gave it to my partner and stayed with my P1i.
the last month i read so many reviews about the W995i,how good it is and the great sound...and last week in a moment of weakness i ordered it online,2 days later i had it ... it looked better then on pictures,smaller then i thought,good build . turned it on and found it much faster then the P1i like my old W800i but faster,the screen is beautiful same size like the P1i (looks bigger cos the phone is smaller)my first slider so must get used to it, the keys are ok must get used to it too (like before the P1i)...But the W995 stands for it's walkman ..so lets download some music and listen....and now the bad news... sound is good but bit plastic... but the worst thing is the volume ... it is much too low!!! played with the equalizer and the extra bass ... and it is so low ... the equalizer itself is also very bad,it does not make almost any difference,the volume buttons are very hard to find and push you can not make the play list on file size or date uploaded...i will stop now,just will say that they killed a great phone ...what is a walkman with no volume the sound is just not good enough to have the walkman name.
my next phone will be the iPhone,listened to it yesterday and its sound is much better then the W995i.about the camera in the W995...looks more like 3,2MPx and not 8.1.pity ,,, the thing is that from the moment the W800i came out they went making less and less good walkmans!

I must say I think the W995 is an impressive phone. Cam is not great, but good and it sounds extremely clear IMO. Miss a bit of bass, indeed, but the sound is good and loud enough for everyone who doesn't want to damage his ears. But I must agree, W800 was better for its time.

i do not mind to meet you all and let you listen to my old W800i and the W995i... the W800i wins hands down! in power and sound. you will say that too after listening cos all my friends said it without seeing the phone.the difference it not one class but 3 ... maybe thats why they call it walkman 4 ... 4th class if you compare it to the W800i ....
my problem is that i still have the W800i and i can compare it and it hurts me to see what happend with it .

First SE phone was P1i.
At first, it was OK! Good phone reception, media player was decent. 1st experience with Fastport and HATED it!
Major Problems with software, sent in to N. America Tech support center who then replaced it with another one (probably a refurb).
Crappy media software and never could get firmware upgrade until sent to tech support!
After all the hassles, sold it!
2nd SE phone was W890i.
Liked it very much.
Better media player but did not realize that phone was so damn small! Still hate Fastport!
Tiny phone was probably created for teens or females since it's so damn small and controls are so damn tiny!
Crappy camera! No wifi! Use it primarily for phone considering the price I paid! Ouch!

3rd SE phone is W995.
Bought while in Hong Kong!
Good phone reception and very good media player especially with 3.5mm port for my Shure SCL-4 earphones
Love it
Decent camera with AF/LED flash but meant for day or up-close shots!
Wifi and 3G is included and works stateside!
Upgrade software is much improved and updated software for both W995 and W890i.
MediaGo SUCKS as SE can NOT create media software for their phones!
Use primarily as phone and media player!
W890i is now my backup phone!

the problem is that i have other phones that make better job! and one is very old but all my friends and me say it is much better,the W800i,also my p1i has a better sound,not so hard like the W800i but good sound
