> I bought a Nokia as my 2nd phone
Bookmark topic
Hey guys few days ago i decided to go buy a 2nd phone which is unusual for me. Anyway i got the Nokia 6303 Classic. Its a great little decent phone. Its a definate improvement on the 6300 which had poor battery life. Now Nokia claim this phone has a powerful battery performance. Well i can say they are right. For once i can use a Nokia which has the stamina to keep going. I charged it up 4 days ago and with moderate use its only just dying now. Impressed. And whats impressed me more with such a budget phone is the 3.2 auto focus camera with powerful led flash and vga recording is very good. The camera takes great pics and its fairly speedy. Before you take the pics the view finder is grainy but once taken even with the flash in the dark pics come out very well. Very surprised. The phone is very stable too for a new release. Very good for my 2nd phone great build and call quality too. Only thing thats boring is the menus not as great as Sony Ericsson. Nokia claim 17 days standby but its a little bold but at least now i believe they are getting better with their battery life and 4 days is good going.

Congratulation @Bonovox.
I bought Motorola RAZR2 V9 as my secondary phone few days ago but I’m not happy with it. Thinking to get an N86 as primary phone and will use the present primary phone as secondary.

Wow wish i had one of them. Only strange thing is Nokia says only support upto 4 giga byte cards on the 6303 but my 8 giga byte works in it. Why is that and would it damage the phone? Maybe firmware updates lets it work with higher cards.

It’s ok. In my 5130xm, Nokia says only support up to 2GB. But mine works fine with 8GB. No problem has facing yet. Others user also confirm that. So it is safe in new phones from Nokia nowadays.
I think it is an advertising policy. Higher-end phone got bigger specification and lower end phone got lower specification in advertised but truly they all use same hardware for read/write memory card (IMO). May be they should limit the capacity through firmware. But we glad that Nokia didn’t.

I got a Nokia 6303 Black from CPW yesterday, and I'm impressed by it too, not had chance to test its battery stamina yet as I've only just given it its first full charge. Noticed Nokia have done away with the LED notification flashers on the side as in the 6300 and incorporated it into the D pad.

My little 3120 Classic will read my 8GB card too...but you might notice when you go to check it, it only reads up to 4GB of it, so check your memory status first.

Ah i see thats a point. I just gone over 4 giga byte and its working ok. I notice with the Nokia 6303 camera the view finder indoors becomes grainy but once picture is taken its clear after its processed. Pics are pretty decent and video recording too and flash works very well for face shots.

Well so far the new Series 40 version 6 from Nokia is great and proving very fast and stable. No crashes or restarts. Signal and battery are superb as is call clarity. I am noticing that whilst listening to music with tons of music on my card and browsing the net at the same time the phone does not slow down one bit. Not like my c510 or w595 did. I love the 3.5mm headphone jack cos i got some Sennheiser headphones and its much better. Well done to Nokia for such quailty in a cheap phone with the only thing missing 3G. The LED flash actually fills the room with good light not bad for an LED.

@Bonovox:
Could you post some pictures of your this phone? Which one have you gotten? White or Black? How is the metal body? Is it felt like C902? And is the default browser opera mini?
I’m asking these question because I’ve plan to get as secondary phone also. I’m bored with the 5130 because it’s fully scratched magnetic.
