Hello community,

I have been trying to restrict incoming calls on my P1 while roaming.
Easy task, I would say - but it turns out there is more than meets the eye

I have checked with my operator, and the password required for this is 0000.

So, I tried to do it from the menu (Control Panel - Call Settings - Restrict calls - Voice calls). I switch ON the "incoming when roaming" feature and save. Phone asks for password, I enter 0000 - and phone responds "command error". If I use any other password except 0000, phone responds "incorrect password". ROTFL....

So then I tried the other way, using *351*0000# command. It is accepted, however the phone responds that incoming SMS and incoming video calls have been restricted (i.e. incoming voice calls are still working).

OK, so I thought let's deactivate the restriction, and entered #351*0000#. And phone responds that the restriction on incoming SMS, video AND voice calls has been deactivated (i.e. now there is no restriction).

Just to note, I have tried the same thing with SE K700i, and the result is exactly the same.

This looks like a nasty big fat bug to me, so I'm now asking you good people for any help/tips/suggestions. It would be appreciated.

I'm using the phone software CXC 162037 R9K009 which is the newest software for my region/operator.

Cheers,
veridian

What are the other codes, say to block all incoming voice calls, or just sms?

I think this could be the app for you: http://my-symbian.com/uiq3/so[....]plications.php?faq=3&fldAuto=4

I've used the uiq2 version, and it basically allows you to set up lists of numbers and decide what to do with them.
