yeah yeah! lol
when I went to the Apple store in London to buy the 3G S, they had me enter my details on a macbook and I couldn't even click the mouse as you do on a windows laptop mousepad!
fortunately, the Brighton Apple shop opened yesterday and they run free beginners courses so I'll be heading down there sometime soon.
but... I'm not looking to become a convert... just need a platform to do iphone development since they still don't have a windows based SDK

Not trying to put you off a Mac but is there not a Linux SDK? hell of a lot cheaper if there is? though you have probably checked that already
Mac's are a little quirky at first but after the first 24 seconds you get use to it and wonder why Windows still exists!

I might have dismissed this a bit too quick in my arogance that I'm happy with PC and don'tneed anything else
no one has ever really given me reasons why macs are better than PCs so what reasons are there?
I'm aware that PC's are prone to viruses, but although my PC is on almost 24/7, I've never had an attack and I keep my antivirus up to date.
I expect that I'll find things that are done better on Mac but any hints would be appreciated. I'm also going to do a free 1 hour introductory mac course at the local Apple store next week!

- Native iTunes...
- Drag 'n' Drop
- Ease of use
- Unix based ergo unix shell commands work
it's can't quantify it in anyway shape or form, but look at it this way, Miss C got me to get a mac, I love mine and would never go back to windows, I've since got Nanu to get a mac and he would never not use a mac.....
I think the term is 'suck it and see'
