> Redundancy question
Bookmark topic
I was made redundant 2 months ago, and got a call off my old employers to maybe work a couple of weeks for them in the near future.
They are relocating, and want someone to do some lifting and carrying for them. This will not be a cash in hand job, so where do I stand with being re-employed by my old company for a couple of weeks (2 max).
Would the taxman, want some of my redundancy money back?
Cheers Paul

From my understanding you will not have to repay any redundancy pay but if your are claimng job seekers allowance you will have to stop it for the 2 weeks and then apply again after the 2 weeks.

My understanding of it is that it becomes like any old contractual job. You are contractually obligated to them for those two weeks and are subject to any normal tax laws but are NOT required to repay any redundancy pay. (That's my understanding anyways!)
