Very soon after the Nokia N97 was launched, consumers started complaining about straight line or scratches appearing on the Nokia N97 camera lens. The scratches were appearing on most handsets regardless of the time used, country of purchase or country of origin.

doesnt look like it would effect the pictures but isnt pretty to look at.
i would not be pleased if i payed £500 for it and this happened.

The picture quality has been affected, part of the picture is brighter. but some say its not due to the scratches but actually due to the lack separation between lens and flash.

The scratch doesnt affect much I guess since my n95 8gb still takes good photos even though there are scratches.

The scratch isnt on the actual lens but on the plastic/glass over it.
