Hi, my C905 is currently CID52 (as identified by A2uploader)
but when I go to software info in the service menu, its R1EA033, which looks like a CID53 firmware
I was wondering if I need to upgrade to CID53 before flashing a CID53 firmware on it, or whether I'd be ok with just flashing a CID53 firmware on it.
Its been a while since I've flashed phones (last time was with XS++ and having to upgrade a CID51 to CID52 before flashing).
Do we still hate CID53? Or is everything in CID53 broken for A2?

With the A2 does not change the CID ..
So, as you have CID52 you will have him on a permanent basis;)

Why do you say it looks like CID53? Can you post a screenshot?
If the a2 software says it's CID52 the it is.

Well, R1EA033 is a RED53 firmware... I flashed a RED53 firmware on it, and it seems like its working fine
I think A2uploader just shows everything as CID52

Luckily, A2 version has universal CID. You could flash cid53 firmware on phone with cid49 or cid52.
