Hi all

i recently tried to update thru SEUS .. but the phone was not detected or say i dont know whether the flash driver is installled or not

how to make it work ?

i am on Windows 7 RC

please help

or were the SEUS able to start?

if drivers were not installed, than put the disc in your drive which the disc is come wit the phone. than wat ever it pop up saying needed driver, than u point to the drive.

ya...

i mean it asked me to plug the usb first and remove battery and start the phone with "c" ... but it didnt install any driver.

i have used SEUS prev for my k850,k800 and had no problem

also another thing is its asking me for SEMC BOOT driver... thats wht windows 7 asked me. but when i pointed to the CD(sony ericsson CD) it couldnt find the driver.

wht to do ?

do u guys have SEMC BOOT driver ?

Did you asking SEMCBOOT for Windows 7? I thought it will be installed automatically when you install SEUS... But if this is not the case, you can try to install it manually...

It's located in C:\Program Files\Sony Ericsson\Update Service\setup\drivers\USBFlashDriver.zip (replace C:\Program Files\ with your SEUS installation path)

Extract USBFlashDriver.zip, and you will get files like ggsemc.inf

When your system asks for it (usually when the phone is plugged), open Device Manager, right-click SEMCBOOT > Update drivers... Point it to the ggsemc.inf folders... And you're done...

The ways mentioned above are mainly describes the way to install USBFlashDriver manually via Text-Mode drivers... If you want more simple ways, try to install the program as momoki said above

It's advised to NOT using any USBFlashDriver below v 2.2.0.5, because there is a bug in Windows 7 which will caused ggsemc.sys fails to unload from memory after the phone is unplugged from SEMCBOOT mode... You will need to restart a computer to makes SEUS detect your phone again...

Don't worry as this bugs is fixed in v 2.2.0.5... (If your SEUS version is 2.9.7.22, you will get USBFlashDriver v 2.2.0.5)

wht mods are currently possible ?

i want to add more flash themes and also menu icons and is there any new mods be done with this new DB ?

and is there any display mod ? coz the colors are not that perfect as i saw in k850 ...

and which is the best camdriver now for w995 ?

thanks a lot again ..

and one more where can i find the change log for the firmwares ?
